We recommend a discovery call with our lead designer to get your project on the right track. In this conversation, we will discuss:

  • timeline

  • budget

Then...

Following our conversation, you'll receive a fixed-fee proposal outlining the recommended scope of work, timeline, and deliverables.

Step 02

Project Green Light

48 hours following your discovery call, we will send you a brief outlining your project objectives, expected deliverables and fee. Once this is agreed upon we will request the project deposit payment, which is 25% of the total cost.

We Get To Work

For Design Packages

Once the project begins, we'll work independently to develop your design or project. If you’ve booked a design package or mini service, we will translate your ideas into a cohesive proposal which will be delivered to your inbox within 2-6 weeks depending on project scope.

Review & Refine

We will send you the initial project draft, providing opportunities to comment and request changes. Each project fee includes two rounds of revisions (three drafts total).

Move Forward

For individual design and creative services, deliverables will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. For our design packages, the next steps are outlined below.

For Inspire:

Use your design package as a roadmap to confidently furnish and transform your space.

For Detail:

Continue independently or upgrade to Execute for detailed specifications and technical support.

For Execute:

Take your completed design package to your contractor, architect, or suppliers for implementation.

  • FWD Studio operates primarily as a remote design consultancy and creative studio. Rather than traditional full-service interiors with procurement markups and on-site management, we provide flexible fixed-fee design support that can range from concept development to detailed specification and implementation guidance.

  • Our packages are structured as cumulative levels of support. Each stage builds upon the previous one, allowing clients to choose the depth of design involvement best suited to their project.

  • Each package includes two rounds of revisions to ensure the design reflects your goals and feedback. Additional revisions can be added at a fixed rate if you'd like to continue refining the design beyond the included scope.

  • Yes. FWD Studio operates remotely, allowing us to collaborate flexibly with clients and creative teams across different locations. Communication may include virtual meetings, presentations, shared documents, and digital deliverables. If a site survey needs to be conducted, we will assist with appointing an on-site service.

  • Projects are typically priced using fixed-fee structures based on project scope, complexity, and level of support required. This approach is intended to provide greater transparency and flexibility compared to traditional hourly billing models.

  • Yes. We regularly support architecture and creative practices requiring additional interior design input, material coordination, FF&E support, visual communication, or spatial design assistance during various stages of a project.

  • This depends on the project scope, but useful starting information may include:

    • photos or videos of the space

    • existing drawings or dimensions

    • inspiration references

    • budget parameters

    • project goals and functional requirements

  • Yes. Depending on the package or service selected, we can provide curated furniture, lighting, material, and finish recommendations aligned with the project vision and budget.

  • That’s completely fine. Services can be scaled to suit anything from a single room refresh to more comprehensive spatial planning and design support.

  • FWD Studio does not currently provide architectural permit drawings or licensed construction documentation. For projects requiring technical approval or permitting, we recommend coordinating with a licensed architect, contractor, or consultant as needed.

  • Timelines vary depending on the scale and complexity of the project, as well as the selected level of support. Estimated timelines will be discussed during the initial consultation phase.

  • Yes. We are happy to collaborate within established architectural frameworks, existing branding, or partially developed design concepts where additional interior guidance or refinement is needed.

  • We will send invoices directly to your inbox which contain a payment link. We accept card payments and bank transfers. We request a deposit of 25% of the project fee upon agreement of the proposal, and the following 75% upon project completion.
